Goals

  1. Get guildies gear.
  2. Get guildies residium so they can buy gear.
  3. Train guildies to be able to take on higher and higher levels of mythics to improve both gear and residium earning.

Initial Schedule

The initial schedule is based on Grizzlee’s availability.  If more leads come online, we can have more scheduled.

Wednesday, 9 PM

Friday, 9 PM

Saturday, 2 PM

Sunday, 2 PM

Mythic 3

Mythic 6

Mythic 9

Mythic 10+

The runs are 90 minutes long attempting 1 to 2 mythic dungeons per group, because:

  1. We to set up the groups.
  2. Most mythics are 30 to 40-minute timespan.
  3. We need time to adjust groups after their first mythic run is over.

Requirements for Mythic Run Teams

General requirements, regardless of night:

  1. Must have Discord, to at least listen to the dungeon leader.
  2. For members that need to go for the night, we need to know the keys.
  3. Meet iLevel requirements for the key level. (See “Item Level Loot Tables” section.)
  4. Dedicated tanks and heals to run two – three groups per session.

Dungeon Team Determination Process

The first thing to determine is whether there are enough people and roles to run the mythic night.  If there are then move forward.

Everyone lists the keys that they have for the run.

Then the tanks and / or healers must be familiar with the listed keys and affixes.  They narrow the possible mythic dungeon.

Then depending on the mythic’s level, either roll or vote to determine which key is used:

  • Mythic 2 – 6, roll to determine.
  • Mythic 7 – 15+, vote to determine.

Now, we select the people that will run the mythic.

The M+ Coordinator referrers to their M+ Queue of guildies that were not able to make the last mythic run at that level.  (See Appendix:  Maintaining the M+ Queue.)

  1. If the M+ Queue is empty, fresh rolls.
  2. If the M+ Queue has guildies in it, then the guildies are placed into the team per their hierarchy.

Considerations:

  • Due to scarcity, sometimes, the tank and / or heal will not have to roll.
  • DPS who have a key, get priority on being chosen to be in the group.

Then, the M+ Coordinator will ensure the teams are equipped with the correct consumables (food, flasks, potions, runes, and so on) and are gemmed and enchanted.

Finally, the M+ Coordinator will send the teams off.

Should there be time, it’s possible to run another mythic following the process above.  (We want to run as many as we can, obviously.)

If we have capacity issues, we may have to look outside of guild to fill roles like tanks and heals.

Action Plan

To encourage M+ runs, the M+ Coordinator will:

  • Schedule M+ runs on the calendar for a rolling three weeks. (“If you schedule it, they will come.”)
  • Post M+ how to links and videos in Discord’s Dungeons & Mythics > mythics-chat text channel.
  • Reach out to guild tanks and healers extoling the virtues of running mythics with the guild.
  • Maintain the M+ Queue assuring guildies that if they’re in it and they show up, they’ll be running M+.
  • Encourage people to have fun and learn.
  • Lower the expectation of timed runs. Emphasize getting through the key for the end rewards.

Appendix:  Maintaining the M+ Queue

There are seven DPS guildies who want to go on a M+ run.  But, there are only three DPS slots.

So, we have the guildies roll:

Name

Abby

1/1/20 M+ 3

George

7

1/1/20 M+ 3

Because their three rolls are the highest, Bob, June and Tom go on the M+ run.  The rest are put on a list in the order that they rolled and must wait for the next run.

Time passes, and it’s new M+ run time.  This time, five guildies show up for the M+ run:  Oscar, Will, Bob, June, Ralph.  The list now looks like this:

Name

Roll

Order

Date and Run

Oscar

1

1/1/20 M+ 3

Will

Bob

1/8/20 M+ 3

June

1/8/20 M+ 3

Ralph

1/8/20 M+ 3

Because Abby and George did not show for the run, they are removed from the list.  When they show up again, they may have to roll to be put on a team.

Because Oscar and Will are already on the list from the last run’s roll, they automatically go on the run.

Then, Bob, June, and Ralph are not on the list; therefore, they must roll.

June wins the roll and joins Oscar and Will on the run.  And the list is update for the next run.
